The European Truck Platooning Challenge Conference is scheduled for 7 April 2016 in the Elicium Conference Centre, RAI Amsterdam. This will coincide with the Intertraffic exhibition.
The people invited for this Conference are closely and actively involved in the Challenge. The event is expected to draw around 150 participants. The aim is to harvest lessons learnt during the Challenge and to present a Vision Truck Platooning 2025. The key to success will be creating support across the network of stakeholders, whereby this network takes on responsibility for implementation of the vision. In the run-up to the conference stakeholders can contribute to this vision via our website and it will also be presented during the Informal Ministerial Transport Council on 14 April.
The Conference’s chair-of-the-day is André van Lammeren (Rijkswaterstaat, director of Accessibility and Infrastructure). Keynote speakers are Lóránt Tavasszy (TU Delft), Walther Ploos van Amstel (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences) and Carlo van de Weijer (TU Eindhoven). There will also be a panel discussion on the role of road authorities, chaired by Ruud Splitthoff, (Rijkswaterstaat, director Roads and Traffic).
